Build journal: making AI agent cybersecurity just work

We are going to tell the story of the build the way engineers read a changelog — openly, often, and in plain language. Vantio is building the control layer for autonomous AI agents: see what they do, enforce the rules you set, and hold on the infrastructure when ordinary app controls are skipped. The product should feel frictionless. It should stop threats going out and coming in. When you visit the log, you should see that it worked. Until then, it should stay out of the way.

What we are optimizing for

Full AI agent cybersecurity — not a prompt filter with a dashboard sticker. Operators need a suite that covers real agent behavior: destinations you did not allow, sensitive details that should never leave, spend that needs a hard ceiling, prompt injection that steers an agent off-script, jailbreaks, and processes that talk straight to the network. Optics, Gate, and Phantom Engine are the three planes of that story. Absolute Control is the plane header for Phantom Engine on your hosts — in ordinary sentences we just say control, or Phantom Engine.

How we improve without wasting the week

We run our own company agents under the same suite we sell. Every useful signal should cycle into two improvement lanes:

1. Product suite — Optics, Gate, and Phantom Engine get better from real agent traffic, honest FAIL packs, and ranked gaps the engineering loop must drain.
2. Company OS — our chiefs, loops, and hands get better from outcome history and ops signals, without pretending that is the same thing as a customer product ship.

Design partners will matter when they arrive. Until then we do not wait to learn. We journal the progress so buyers, builders, and search can see where we are going.

What “just works” means for us

The suite should not nag. It should not invent theater. It should enforce and observe while humans keep the force decisions that matter. When you open Mission Control or your evidence views, the record should make the night’s work obvious: what was allowed, what was blocked, what still needs a human. Shipped stays shipped. Roadmap stays roadmap. We will not claim every residual path is closed — we will name the gaps and close them with proof.
