AI agents are shipping, and most teams still cannot answer a simple question: where do they connect? Vantio Optics is the free Observe product — egress telemetry without conversation retention — so you see where agents go and how much they send without storing their chats.
Use it from the terminal (vantio run on supported Node paths, or the Python SDK wrap). Optics records destination, size, process, and a trace. It does not capture prompts or completions. It cannot block or enforce.
Packaging note (22 August 2026): An earlier version of this post led with Optics MCP as if it were the product. The public path is the wrap and CLI. An optional read-only inspect helper can list runs in an IDE; it does not govern tools, inspect vector databases, or enforce policy.
